May 16, 2011- Denton, Texas- Racers United Charitable Fund raised $692.50 this weekend for Kidd’s Kids, a Dallas based charity started by Radio personality Kidd Kraddick. The charity sends terminally ill children to Disney World each year for a trip of a lifetime. The money raised was in conjunction with the Southwest Regional Cup event held in Denton, Texas. A raffle was held throughout the event which raised $195 and private donations raised the total to almost $700. To date, Racers United has raised in excess of $5,000 at six different events. Racers United next event is in South Bend, Indiana this weekend for the 2nd Round of the Eastern Pan American Series.

In 2010, the fund raised over $10,000 and was able to give to several charities throughout the US to include CASA (Child Advocates), United Way, Voices for Children, Pregnancy Resource Center, and Young Life. The fund is managed by Cole Glasson Racing and hopes are to expand its reach further by expanding its presence in other National and Regional series to create a greater opportunity to give back. The target for 2011 is to raise in excess of $20,000 and reach the $100,000 per year mark by 2015.
