USRMC TECH BULLETIN  021010

RMC REGULATIONS 2010 BULLETIN 1 (2010.01.27)

Rotax has released an update regarding the minimum length of the Rotax FR and DD2 spark plug wire.  The bulletin is available on the USRMC website

Effective Immediately;

Rule 11.6

Minimum length of ignition wire ( high tension wire) is 210 mm from outlet of cable at ignition coil to outlet of cable at spark plug connector ( = the visible length of wire)

Ignition coil must be in working condition (to be tested in case of doubt)

The following additions are being made to the 2010 USRMC Tech Supplementary Regulations

Section 1

  • Technical Inspectors may use any method necessary to determine compliance of Rotax Engines or components.

Section 3.0          Chassis

  • Seat Mounts..All Classes – Any seat strut/stay attached to the chassis must be attached at both ends, bolts and nuts must be in a condition of compression at all times.

Section 15.1        Carburetor

  • All jets must be screwed tight, this includes “inner” pilot jet.  Tight defined as designed by manufacture.  No Modifications
The above items will be inserted into the document prior to publishing in the official 2010 USRMC Rule Book.
