The SWRC event hosted by Kart Nation at MSR Houston this past weekend had a great turn out despite the forecast of heavy rain and record breaking rain fall in the area. The rain made for difficult driving conditions on Saturday, qualifying was completed before the race was called due to lightning and torrential downpours. On Saturday evening the building that housed the 2008 Year End Casual Social and Banquet was packed. The banquet was catered by the very popular local restaurant La Casona with huge portions of the Fajita Feast available to the hungry racers, pit crew and families. Thousands of dollars in products and gift cards were distributed throughout the evening to all banquet ticket holders. A very big "Thank You!" goes to the following sponsors for their generous donations to the year end banquet.

What a difference a day makes, Sunday's weather was perfect for racing! In the morning the Saturday finals were run. Sunday afternoon we were back on schedule with the qualifying, pre-final and finals for Race #2.
