The kart track at MSR Houston is a 1,200-meter, 8-meter wide course that can be split to run simultaneously as two 600-meter tracks, the Monza loop and the Monaco loop. One of the highlighted features of the track is an 18-degree graduated banked turn. The course has a total of 17 turns and an 1,100-foot straight. In addition to the track, construction is current underway for the kart building. There will be storage for over 125 karts as well as a full-service kart shop and race team. Oklahoma Motorsports Complex
Oklahoma Motorsports Complex (OMC) is located on 70 acres adjacent to
I-35. OMC opened in 1998 and set the standard for kart tracks of the
future. The late Tom Argy Jr., the Ambassador to Karting, proclaimed
the Oklahoma Motorsports Complex to be the best track in North America
and one of the best in the World. The FIA/CIK-registered 7/10-mile
track is 30 feet wide with 13 turns and features a 750-foot
straightaway. Allowing for speeds of up to 97 mph, the track
incorporates high-banked and off-camber turns, hairpins and a
decreasing radius with up to 3 Gs of sustained force. The track offers
a state-of-the-art lighting system for exciting night racing and pits
that accommodate 300 plus racers. Other features include a full-service
kart shop, rental karts, corporate events, driving schools, permanent
restrooms with showers, a complete view of track with 1,400-person
capacity bleachers, a scoring tower with enclosed scales, a 20-acre
