50/50 tickets will be sold at the upcoming SWRC race at Denton on Thursday & Friday for the Kids Racing for Kids charity. The local charity that will benefit from the proceeds will be CASA of Denton County, a court appointed child advocacy agency. If we all give a little the charity will benefit a lot and we can make a difference in kid's lives. |

Rounds 5 and 6 of the Southwest Regional Cup series will be held at North Texas Kartway in Denton, TX July 30 & 31. Note that these races will be held on Friday and Saturday nights. The track will be open for Thursday night practice. Online registration is available on www.RaceLaps.com
The Holiday Inn Express and Suites is a brand new hotel that has opened just south of the track on the west side of Interstate 35. It is the closest hotel to the track and is the NTK host hotel. They have provided us with 3 free room certificates which will be given away at the drivers meeting. Racers staying at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites will be eligible to have their names entered into the drawing for the 3 free hotel room certificates. The Holiday Inn Express and Suites has reserved a block of rooms at a reduced rate of $89. The block of rooms will be held until July 15th after which they will honor the $89 based on availability, so be sure to book your rooms early to guarantee a rate of $89. NTK to Host September SWRC Event |

The SWRC series is pleased to announce that North Texas Karters will host the 5th and final event weekend September 25 - 26.
 A drawing was held at the last SWRC race held at Oklahoma Motostports Complex in Norman, OK to determine the track to host the final rounds of the 2010 SWRC series.
North Texas Karters is a great track to be hosting the final event and expects a great turn out as it is mid way between the Oklahoma and Houston based racers. NTK is looking forward to the upcoming SWRC race July 30 - 31 and also looks forward to their return to the track in September.

Norman, OK- The SWRC series is proud to partner with Kids Racing for Kids www.krfk.org a charitable foundation to raise money at kart racing events that benefits local charities. Donations were collected online at www.southwestregionalcup.com website via a donation button and also as a sales item on the SWRC online registration. 50/50 tickets were also sold during the event. Together with Cole Glasson Racing’s pledge of $400 the second Southwest Regional Cup Series event raised $583 which will benefit the local CASA organization www.casaforchildren.org a charity that provides court appointed special advocates for children. “Thank you so much for the generous donation to our program! We appreciate your efforts and those of the participants from Kids Racing for Kids events to help non-profits serving children. The $583 will be put to good use as we provide advocates for abused and neglected children in our community,” said Suzanne Annesley from the local CASA branch.
Oklahoma Motorsports Complex and the Berryhills, MSR Houston and Stuart Robinson of Kart Nation, Gulf Coast Karters and it's members and North Texas Karters and it's members are all very proud to be a part of this effort to support such a worthy cause and give back to our local communities. All SWRC racers and race fans are encouraged to make a small donation of $5 or $10 at each event. "If we all give a little, the local charity will benefit a lot!" The Southwest Regional Cup Series would like to welcome aboard the following new sponsors in 2010!
Ribtect
We all know, wear and love our Ribtect vests, chest protectors and seats. In addition to supporting our series Ribtect owner and Texas resident Robby Mott is also racing with us this year! Robby, an IKF Regional and Grand National champion, raced in the Florida Winter Tour earlier this year and has already won a direct transfer spot to the 2010 Rotax World Finals which will be held at La Conca, Italy in November. Robby is looking forward to racing in the Rotax Masters class to keep his driving skills well honed in preparation of the big event!
The Kart Shop
The Kart Shop owners Kevin Adds and Mike Jones are also racing in the SWRC Rotax Challenge Series this year. Mike Jones has won multiple IKF Grand National, TAG Sr World Final and SWRC Regional champiionship titles in addition to his most recent 2009 SKUSA Supernational championship title. Mike will be racing in the Stock Shifter class and Kevin in DD2 Masters. Mike and Kevin will be providing track support at all of the SWRC events to put you on the podium too.
Glasson Racing
Cole Glasson is the 2nd place 2009 SWRC Rotax MIni Max champion and 2nd place 2008 SWRC TAG Gazelle champion. Glasson Racing has partnered with Kids Racing For Kids to help raise money for local kid's charities. Tim Glasson is contributing $400 to a local charity for each SWRC event weekend. The SWRC series hopes to match Tim's doantion at each event and you can help by making a $5 donation either during the online registration process or in person at the track. You can also donate by purchasing 50/50 tickets at each event, fifty percent of the proceeeds of the 50/50 drawing will go to the KRFK foundation. Free Race Entries!!!
New in 2010 there will be a drawing for a free race entry at each driver's meeting. Two free race entries will be awarded each weekend. The winner of each drawing will have their race entry fee returned to them!
SWRC Storm Chassis Give-A-Way!!!

The SWRC series will give away a Storm kart chassis in 2010. Drivers will have their names entered at each race they enter for a chance to win the Storm chassis. If you enter all 10 races your name will be entered 10 times. The Storm chassis comes with EVO-8 brakes - Ø50x1030 mm axle (black colour–Storm model); - Ø25 mm spindles (Storm model); - Break system mod.
